The electrical pre-test report determines; if the electrical installation passes the pre-check criteria proir to the full inspection and certificate of compliance.
The pre-test report takes +-60-90mins *(please take this into consideration when arranging access); this is however determined on the size of the property.
The pre-test report fee of R250 is payable upfront or proir to submitting the report.
Should the electical installation "PASS" the test report; only then can we proceed with the electrical compliance certificate or the customer may select to appoint another electrical contractor to issue the compliance certificate based on our test report/pay additional fees to the other contractor.
Should the electrical installation "FAIL" the pre-test report, we will provide a quotation to rectify all the defect/failed/non-compliant/illegal/etc. and restore the electrical installation to it's original/according to SANS 10142-1 Regulations.
Please note: that an existing electrical compliance certificate can not be used to transfer the property twice. A new certificate is required on every transfer of property, furthermore; an electrical certificate of compliance is only valid for a period of 2 years and needs to be renewed every two years in order to be valid.
Renewals of electrical compliance certificates fees are R150each; only if submitted by Geo's Electrical Services and no alterations have been done.
For renewals on non-existing certificates/certificates issued by others. A pre-test report will be required.
